Automated macOS patch management is enabled by Kandji's Auto Apps, a library of applications that Kandji pre-packages, hosts, and automatically patches.
Save time with automated patch management
Pre-packaged & hosted
Every Auto App is pre-packaged by Kandji and hosted in our secure cloud storage.
Automatic or manual dates
You can choose whether you want updates enforced automatically or manually. A manual update can be used on a specific date if a certain patch is needed.
With Auto Apps, you can also have peace of mind that your end users won’t be disrupted by unnecessary or confusing user approval requests. If applicable, every single Auto App includes:
Kernel Extension Approval
System Extension Approval
Automatic Rosetta 2 installation
When an Auto App requires Rosetta in order to run on a Mac computer with Apple Silicon, the Kandji Agent will automatically check for and install Rosetta 2 as needed.
Add to Dock
Add to Dock is a unique feature enabled by Kandji’s macOS Agent. If a user uninstalls the app, the Agent will actually reinstall it and re-add it to the dock on the next check-in.
Fully managed end user experience
Native countdown notifications
Users will receive a series of prompts from the Kandji Agent reminding them to update any relevant Auto Apps. Once the deadline is a few minutes away, a countdown will display. After the countdown, the app will update automatically.
Option to delay
If the update countdown starts at an inconvenient time, users can easily defer it by one hour (up to 24 hours total) to avoid any disruption to their workflow.
