Achieving compliance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security framework for macOS is key to protect business systems and data from malicious activity. NIST identifies four tiers of compliance, the least compliant being “Partial (Tier1)” and the most compliant being “Adaptive (Tier 4).” In order to achieve a high compliance tier, using a security configuration tool is recommended. Rather than spend time and money trying to keep devices NIST compliant with scripts, using a security configuration tool like Kandji can achieve and maintain NIST compliance across all company Macs and other Apple devices.
